The Inquiry Method is a learning method that provides free space for students to discover their own passions and ways of learning. Students are no longer forced to learn in a certain style or way, they are developed to become creative and productive learners. In this method, each student is encouraged to be actively involved in the teaching and learning process, one of which is by actively asking questions. This research aims to (1) find out how to apply the inquiry method to improve student learning outcomes in grade 2 fiqh subjects at MI Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Sokopuluhan Pucakwangi Pati. (2) to find out what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in applying the inquiry method to improve student learning outcomes in class 2 fiqh subjects at MI Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Sokopuluhan Pucakwangi Pati. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The type of research used in this research is field research. In collecting data the author used observation, interviews and documentation methods. The data sources used were obtained from the Madrasah Head, Class 2 Teachers at MI Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Sokopuluhan and literature related to the title of this thesis. The research results showed that the application of the inquiry method was successful in improving student learning. Judging from the results of student assessments, there has been an increase. Judging from the percentage of assessment results, 95% of students have mastered the prayer material. Some students have got good grades with maximum scores. In the learning process, of course there are supporting factors in implementing this inquiry method, namely first, internal factors and external factors, namely parental support. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are emotional instability, being preoccupied with one's own world, and having difficulty understanding and memorizing readings and movements in fardlu prayers. Based on existing obstacles, teachers have strategies or initiatives to try to do several things. Among them are: applying patience in learning, applying openness, having a sense of empathy, providing religious education and advice, implementing the habit of congregational prayer at noon prayer time.
